Bongorongo Theatre is set to stage the opening night of its latest production “Mrittuhin Praan” at the Experimental Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
The play, based on Utpal Dutta’s “Mrittuur Otit”, has been newly adapted and directed by Mithun Mostafa.
Mrittuhin Praan is a dark satire that reflects the struggles and movements of the working-class people against an oppressive state mechanism. The play brings forward a powerful message of protest and resistance against social discrimination and injustice, highlighting the values of human rights and justice.
The premiere will take place on Saturday, August 30, at 7:00 PM at the Experimental Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
